Corporate Prime Residence – Bridford Mews

• Location: Marylebone, London, UK
• Client: Howard de Walden Estates
• Value: £3.2m
• Type: Estate development

Description

This project, delivered for Howard De Walden Estates, involved the demolition of six garages and the construction of three new mews houses, each with full basements.

Located directly behind the RIBA’s Wornum-designed headquarters, the site sits adjacent to 70–74 Portland Place—an iconic 1908 ‘Champs-Élysées’ style apartment building by renowned Edwardian architect Frank Verity, best known for the Criterion Theatre at Piccadilly Circus.

Access to the mews was via a narrow archway, which required the use of specialist lifting and delivery equipment. The logistical constraints of the site demanded careful planning and close coordination with surrounding residents and stakeholders. With over 200 neighbouring addresses potentially impacted, we developed a dedicated project website to provide instant access to updates and key information, ensuring transparency and proactive communication throughout the build.
