Corporate Prime Residence – Bridford Mews
• Location: Marylebone, London, UK.
• Client: Howard de Walden Estates
• Value: £3.2m
• Type: Estate development
Description
This project was undertaken for Howard De Walden Estates and was the demolition of 6 garages to be replaced by 3 mews houses with basements.
The site is situated at the rear of RIBA’s Wornum designed headquarters. The new building is adjacent to 70-74 Portland Place a 1908 ‘Champs Elysees’ style apartment building designed by Edwardian Architect Frank Verity who is best known for the Criterion at Piccadilly Circus.
The mews access is through a small arch that meant utilising specialist lifting and delivery equipment. Close liaison was required with our neighbours as access was restricted. Due to the high number of residents affected, which was over 200 addresses we created a website so that they could have instant access to the latest information and updates.
